Day 7: GSES-in-Costa Rica
With mixed emotions we embark on our last adventure in the gorgeous town of Monteverde. We are sad this is our last night with our tica mountain families, but we're super excited about experiencing one of the tallest zip lines in the world! Clad in long pants, fleeces, and rain ponchos, students met at 7:30am to head up into the clouds - yes, the clouds! We took the teleférico (gondola in Spanish) to the top of the mountain. Students were amazed at how dense the fog was and how the temperature drastically drops when you're so high! This zip line consisted of seven different cables and the only way to get down toward the end is to rappel or to do the vertical drop. Our dare-devils loved it! After, we enjoyed a nice meal at local favorite Amy's. The blueberry juice was so refreshing! After students spent their last four hours in classes, it was time to say "adiós" to our profesores in Monteverde and head home for dinner and packing. Tomorrow we head to Rincón de la Vieja for horseback riding, tubing, and hot springs! ¡Hasta mañana!
It is so great to see all of you! I am so glad you are having a great time. Thank you so much for sharing your adventure with me. I am so jealous!!
